Usually self inflicted during re-assembly

unfortunately i never found out what the self inflicted bit was. obviously something wasnt quite right
I tried numerous times over 2 days to get it right, with various combinations of clutch parts and even the old clutch back in and it still wouldnt
work!
eventually, by luck i beleive, it did work. so i just left it as i didnt fancy another 2 days of poo
good luck

can you be more specific about the clutch pin locking up?
Do you mean that with the cover and lever back on the arm wont pull it?
Did you definatly put the small plates in the right place?
Can you lever the top plate with a screwdriver and it feel springy or is the whole clutch locked up

You need to pull the cover tight with the clutch lever to ensure the pawls locate in the slot in the pin correctly

Defeated! Managed to gain a cluch pedal that was great but then I couldn't select a gear so removed the clutch again put it neutral and lost the
pedal lol good thing tho I can change a clutch 2 mins! But going to see what a bike shop can do

Quick update got cluch pedal but couldn't get it out of gear! Will the clutch only work if it wet? If don't get it sorted tonight
it's going a garage tomorrow

They can be difficult to select neutral at he best of times, but presumably the engine is not running if theres no oil in it. More often, filling
through the clutch side can flood the clutch wit oil and cause it to slip temporarily.
What changed to "get a clutch pedal"?
You should be able to (just) push the engine lever by hand with a rag and certainly with a big pair of pliers and it feel like it's working. Are
you getting this?

Sorry it is dry and the clutch its working I think it was when I was trying to move the leaver by hand and couldn't I thought it was locking up
but when I put the cable on it it had operation but not I carnt select gear now wondering if I put oil in it would be fine

How do you mean you cat select a gear?
You should be able to do that without the clutch, just rock the car back ann forward slightly?
