Weber DCOE - Accelerator Pump Pushrod Removal

Rebuilding some old 40 DCOE Webers for a mate at the moment and have hit a snag : (

Everything was going fine but on one of the carb's the Accelerator pushrod is 'seizing' and needs removing.
I've removed the brass securing plate on the top and the spring is free, But the rod and piston are refusing to budge

I've left it soaking in Plusgas overnight, But has anybody else come across this ??

Just for the benefit of the search function:

Left it to soak in Plusgas overnight and it still wouldn't budge, Put some hard rubber on the top face of the carb and levered
the pushrod out gently with the aid of a scrwdriver.

Luckily it came out in one piece as their a special order bit and gawd knows how long that would have taken to come...

Cleaned the brass piston up, re-fitted it all and its now going up and down like a fiddlers elbow
