Will i need a fuel swirl pot?

I have a zetec on 45s fed by a facet pump through a malpassi filter/reg. I am going to use mainly as a track car so will I need to fit a swirl pot for hard cornering? The tank is baffled as far as I know but was wondering if the malpassi will hold enough fuel to make a swirl pot pointless. Had to install one on one of my old Strikers with a lift pump, swirl pot, main pump to carbs, but used an inline filter and no malpassi.

I would say no, each 45 (carb ?) has its own float bowl.

If it was fuel injection I would say yes.

Hummmmm.....not convinced you need one so much with carbs...assuming by 45's you mean webers...they only require a tops of 4psi feed, and also they have a chamber built in to act as a buffer for fuel....

I would say no, the carbs have there own reservoir. Injection maybe.

I would say yes
On long high speed corners you'll run the float bowls down
Webers are very sensitive to fuel level and for the sake of an extra pump and swirl pot it's a no brainer
The Malpassi has only a small reserve and I could use that slinging the car round a couple of roundabouts
Fitting two pumps and a swirl pot also gave me a resrve pump, when one let go I swapped pipes around for a direct feed from the remaining pump and got home

The float cambers will only run dry if you have a prolonged time of sucking through air from the fuel tank. Yes, on a track there will be the odd corner when fuel is running low and the pump sucks through some air, but to think of a corner and a car capable of pulling that sort of 'g force' for that amount of time I think is unlikely. With fuel injection it different as one bubble of air will cause a misfire.......before converting to injection on my Westfield track car, I used to run r888s and never had an issue with fuel surge........main issue for me was the 9 mpg :-)

Simple answer. No.

Providing the floats are set correctly you will have no issues. Hillclimbed/sprinted on slicks for several years using 45's and like everyone else I know I never had a single issue.

Swirl pots, sump in tank etc of one form or another are essential for injected cars simply because there are no float chambers.
