R1 carbs - vacuum?
hi,
I have a complete set of R1 I will use on my Zetec. There a couple of hoses on them. Can I use either of them for vacuum to the crankcase breather
instead of using vacuum from the intake manifold?

No
The ones your looking at are probably the ones used connect the space above the diaphragms back to the air box (so that they get the right balance of
air pressures)
So first off they wouldn't give you any vac. and secondly any pressure from the crank case would affect the opening of the slides....
Your crankcase vent will need to go to a catch tank just like it would with twin webbers
