Expansion Tank Overflow

Hi All,
Just doing the final plumbing of my silvertop zetec with raceline water rail.

Ive been on the look out for an alloy expansion tank, around 1-1.5litres, with a single port at the bottom. It appears that the majority of tanks available also come with an overflow too near the cap. Would this be just pipes to the floor? Is this an issue for scrutineering on trackdays etc?

Regards
Anton

These guys will make an alloy tank to your spec if they don't do one al ready.

I have been to many track days and the only scrutineering I have had is noise test.

No doubt you would be called in if you had fluids coming out of your car when out on track.

The pipe at the neck is a bleed and should go to the top of the thermo housing to bleed air out of the engine and... Oh, water rail, no bleed so.....
