Zetec 2.0 Fueling Parts?

Hi Guys,

I have a Zetec 2.0 silver top 1997 engine that was on R1 Carbs. I need to change back to standard injection.
I have no parts for this at all.

I found the following on ebay, could you have a look and tell me what other parts I would need.

2.0 litre zetec silvertop inlet manifold

or would this fit?

New OE Ford 2.0 16V ZETEC Inlet Manifold + injectors + fuel rail 1998 2005

Or this?

Genuine OE Ford FOCUS 2.0 1.8 16V ZETEC Inlet Manifold + Seals 1998 2005

So far I need:

Inlet manifold (With injectors if possible)
Wiring harness.
Engine ECU.

Cheers All!!!

They will all fit as long as your steering extension ain't in the way.

I would go for the second one, its brand new and got more bits on it. In fact I'm tempted myself!

Then you can either find a OE ecu which must come with the key and if your lucky cause I searched for ages to find the harness between the ecu and engine. Problem is the ecu is in the car and the wiring normally gets chopped inside the engine bay.

Or with the standard inlet you can wire up a lot of aftermarket ECU's.

Hi,

I will move the steering if needed, thinking of a new column any how.

What other semsors would I need to match it up to a black top ECU?

The TPS is on the manifold so thats ok.

Are CAM and CRANK on the silver top I have ok?

What others would I need?

For the ECU and wiring, I am talking to a couple of scrap dealers so I can go in and remove it my self.
Just need to ensure I get the key and the ECU.

So I need to swap out the three, no problem.

Any CAT sensors or intake temp sensors required?

I only have a bare engine at present.

O2 sensor is about 2 inches down the exhaust from the manifold so if you going to the scrappy get that as well.

Standard ecu runs closed loop so its needed.

Speed sensor is located next to the o/s driveshaft on the gearbox, may be hidden under a load of crud. Handy to get while your there.

hi ya,

I think I have a sierra gearbox, would the speed sensor fit or required or is it easier to use a different one?

Also, which ECU would the black top need and car from, is it the 60 pin eec-iv or the 104 pin eec-v?

Cheers!

I think I still have the original inlet manifold for my silvertop with injectors - you can have it for a tenner + post at cost if you are interested. I may ene have the airbox etc if you need them (from a mondeo).

No problem-if you need other bits let me know, I've been tasked with dejunking the shed(s) by the summer so I'll be ebaying all sorts. I think I kept most of the induction/fuel bits off the Zetec in a box somewhere.
Regards
Hugh

That would be fab.

I'll have a look this evening and post photos of whatever there is. I believe the MAF and airbox are there.

I have the MAF and air box, if you U2U me and give an email a address I'll send the pictures. Let me know if you just want the sensor or the box too. I do have the manifold and injectors too (can probably find the wiring plugs still attached to the loom - its a bit of spaghetti at the mo). I don't have the ecu - that went to big_wasa for some of his experiments.
