Zetec Silvertop to Blacktop
I have recently acquired a part built stylus with a silvertop Zetec, which has a Raceline sump, water rail and Weber Alpha ecu/throttle bodies. I am
thinking of swapping the engine for a new Blacktop. Will the Raceline sump fit ? I'm sure the water rail will but think the ecu will need
reprogramming. Am I right in my thoughts?

Remember there are only a few authorised alpha re-programmers about, not something you can do your self or at any old dyno. Why do you want to swap,
silvertop is still a very good engine and the black top does not give you that much extra. I know the oem sumps are different silvertop is a one piece
and blacktop is a two piece. Give raceline a call.

My reason for swapping is that with a new engine I should be able to get a new registration and I am not worried about emissions come mot time as they
will be the same as iva which I will have to pass. I know the webcon system is limited to certain dealers, I was just checking to see if anybody knows
for certain if it needs changing if going from silver to blacktop.

Raceline "hotter rail" ..........
Wiser to to use the standard Blacktop setup if you have the space.
