Zetec engine number - what letter!?
Just filling out my IVA paperwork and I'm filling in the engine number. What is this last letter that I've circled in red? it looks like a
sigma. Any thoughts?
Also for those of you with a zetec engine, have you put the engine code in as part of the engine no? For example mine starts with ALDA - it's
stamped on the block directly before the engine number.

I'm pretty sure mine has something like that, a sigma or similar. I believe it is not part of the engine number, but a control character to
stop you adding extra digits. I ommitted it from my IVA forms, etc.
I did include the four alpha characters at the start.

Thanks, I'll do the same and include the code but omit the sigma.
Yes it's a zetec engine, or to be precise a zetec dressed up as a duratec in the form of the St170 engine
