1800 silver top into mk2 fiesta

Hi all

I'm in the process of buying a 1800 130hp silvertop zetec from a 1994 escort si cabriolet.
This is going to be my engine for the mk2 fiesta replacing the 1.1.

I have a few questions

Does the water pump need changed if so what to?
Does the flywheel need changed, if so what flywheel and I take it just clutch to match?
Wiring is a pats version (immobiliser) so best way to use it or get round it
Joining the fiesta loom to the zetec loom?
Also best ways of getting the engine to 150hp, but at the moment it's all about making it work first.

I've got a small amount of info but a small amount of info is dangerous compared to all the info I need haha.

Thanks a lot, Ryan.

The water pump on the silvertop does not need to be replaced.
not sure about the flywheel / clutch etc.
but for 150 bhp you wil need throttle bodies and 2.0 l cams.

Okay thanks for that, would bike carbs be able to do the same thing or does it need to be bodies as they're quite expensive lol.

Would you know anything about the pats wiring at all??

It's the 2.0 water pump that is changed for the 1.8 on the silvertop.

You will already have the smaller lighter flywheel on the 1.8 unless it's the 130ps.

Clutch will depend on gearbox but you could look at the rs turbo.

The oem ecu is great on a budget but if you're planning on carbs or tb's then you will want to look at after market ecu's.

That'll be hard to do as the guy hasn't got back to me about selling the engine and had removed the add from eBay..

Clutch will depend on the gearbox as stated above. Are you staying 4 speed or swapping to 5?

If going 5 speed you will likely use an IB5 box. You can just buy the clutch for an XR2I 16v. Though on a mk2 I believe you need to modify the near side chassis rails or the 5 speed swap.

Water pump is fine on the escort 1.8. I believe it's the Mondeo pump thats different. It's been a while since I did the swap though.

I ran a lightly tuned 2.0 in a MK3 and it was epic fun! In a MK2 it would be hilarious!
