R1 Carb Jets
Hi All
Am trying to setup R1 carbs on a Blacktop.
Just looking for some intel on likely main jet size.
The carbs were last used on a 2.0 Vauxhall powered car, and have 160 main jets.
We have 4 basic air filters, and a 4 branch exhaust manifold. We will be using Nodiz ignition.
Is 160 a good start point for setup?
Also what do the units mean, as we have spare carbs on 132.5 jets, which we could modify (ie drill out) if applicable.
Cheers

It's the hole size, 160 is 1.6mm, sounds a good starting point you may need a little bigger. Weber DGAV/DGAS main jets also fit the mikunis
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

Buy a set of modelling drills in 0.1 increments
Drill your jets out one size at a time until your happy with WOT performance
Then, like dingz said, buy a weber set in the size you drilled to
Less Than a tenner on the bay last time i bought some
