Silvertop with a Type 9

Just about to replace the clutch release bearing on my 1.8 silverop zetec with type 9.

I understand there are a couple of configurations used which im not sure what mine is so awaiting strip down before ordering anything

Is there anything else worth doing in this area while apart? Anything I should be aware or wary of?

Finally got it all apart this evening, I'm going to change the gearbox gaskets, fit a new CCT133 release bearing and all should be fine.

Also found out via research that I'm missing the spigot bearing in the end of the crank so that's on order too.

Could I have done much damage running without the spigot bearing?

Contemplating a replacement clutch while its apart, the current one works but is of unknown origin.
