Alfa GT stiff clutch.
Hi All,
Any suggestions on my mstes Alfa GT JTDM 1.9 - it has a very heavy clutch pedal? Been like it for 3 years, from 30k miles so don't think it
needs a new clutch.
Most garages seem to want to fit a new clutch. Forums suggest it seems to be a sticking release bearing or clutch fork getting stuck in bushes.
Thanks!
Jon

Is it worth taking the box out to sort the heavy clutch without replacing the clutch? If it was mine I would fit new!

Yeah I see your points, looking at the forums some suggest you can grease it without removing the box. Just wondered if anyone had any tips or a
similar issue.

Is it cable or hydraulic actuation?

If it has an external slave and visible linkage it may be possible to lubricate any visible linkage but if that doesn't work
then it's likely to be box out
