Clutch plate differential (LSD) which setup? 1 Way vs. 2 Way?
Hello,
I have a clutch plate differential and I am wondering what kind of setup you can recommend me for a seven?
I spoke to a guy who is racing sevens and he recommended me a one way differential with a 35° ramp angle and a 35ft/lb preload.
According to him the differential should only lock when accelerating but should not lock under braking.
I have a 2-way differential and I was wondering if it would make the seven too nervous during braking as the diff will also lock during braking.
So are two way differentials not really suitable for sevens? What is your experience?
-> I know that helical differentials like the Quaife ATB are very effective as well but I would like to stay with a clutch type differential for
now.

Titan build the Caterham plate diffs and set them at: 30/60 degree ramp angles and 20 lbs.ft pre load
My ZF diff, is 30 degree ramp angles which was mandatory for the race class it was built for (R400 Championship).
Cheers
