36/36 weber not pumping fuel
Hi
I have a 32/36 DGAV weber
Its had a general refurb by myself with new gaskets, Diaphragms a new float chamber and power valve assembly and jets etc...
I have put it on the car filled the float chamber with fuel to see if any fuel pumps out (waiting on fuel hoses). but nothing pumps out through the
accelerator jet when I pump the throttle.
can anyone possibly give me some ideas on what to check?
Do I need to pressure from the fuel pump to help push it through? (as I thought this just get the fuel to the chamber)
I've checked all the vacuum lines and they are ok
is their anything that could be stuck not allowing fuel to flow?
I have checked and blown through all the places with air where fuel would travel and they are a clear.
I just don't know what else I can until i get fuel hoses made.
any help would be fantastic.

Is your float level still OK after your changes?
Apart from that - if the float chamber fuel level is OK, then the acceleration pump in the carb should squirt down the venturi - you don't need
to have the fuel pump running.

Hi
the float level is 35mm but i dont seem to be getting a squirt down the venturi.
I have blown and squirted air through all the jets etc.. and nothing seems blocked.
I have checked the Ball as i read that can get stuck (#45 in the pic and i get air passing thru that so i presume thats fine?)
Apart from that i'm a bit stumped

When I had this issue it was the accelerator pump jet that was blocked.

I've checked the accelerator pump jet using air thru it and i believe i can feel air coming out.
I know its gotta be summat simple as everything is clear/been changed

Daft question maybe, but is the accelerator pedal working the carb properly?
In other words have you tried manually operating the throttle mechanism on the carb to see if it works.
Sounds like a missing part to me that's not transferring the accelerator action to the carb.

yeah the throttle cable is moving it no problem, tried doing it manually and nothing.
I might try a new pump jet if not as its coming out the venturis just not pump jet

Isn't there a diaphragm that operates the pump jet? Is that OK.

Yeah all new Diaphrgrams and new springs with them.
Everything has been changed apart from a new accelerator pump jet
I never changed it as seemed ok. So that is my next option if not ill bin it lol..

how are you determining that the pump isn't working ?
as on my 28/36 dcd the accelerating pump only works at around half throttle while the second choke opens up
and even then its only a brief squirt of fuel into the primary bore to start with, it does not constantly spray fuel in, if that was what you were
thinking
blocked brass jets can be cleaned by leaving them over night in thinners
steve
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

New diaphragms should be OK, but on a 1.1 mk3 Escort many years ago, a carb diaphragm had a small split in it. It prevented the engine from starting
and took my engine minded Dad some time to identify. A fast, cheap and easy fix, but maybe worth checking your diaphragms.

I have filled the float chamber with fuel connected the throttle etc.. and i got the wife to pump the throttle 20/30 times while i watched and i have
no fuel coming from the accelerator pump jet but the throttle lever plates are getting fuel on them (so i guess its coming out the veturri not) i
made sure it was all dry before i tested so i could possible see if it was coming out.
I have used thinners on all the brass jets etc.. and they all are clear.
