Where is the engine number stampped on a 1600 Kent motor?

Kango, it's on the forward passenger side, sticking out on the mating surfaces between the block and the head, cricled in the picture

I would never have found it. I have been cleaning and wire brushing every machined surface on the engine, but missed that little pretruding area.

Ford Engine ID's

Apparently, at sometime in the past, FoMoCo didn't stamp any numbers on their engine blocks, relying instead purely on the VIN plate attached to the vehicle body.
