Ford T9 Gearbox spares
I have managed to avoid joining forums for many years but find the need has finally caught up with me and I do, indeed, need you guys. So hold the
laughter if newbie buggers up any forum etiquette.....
I am located in the USA and building a car of my own design utilizing a 2.0l Duratec sourced from a Focus, joined to a late model (N3?) T9 box
modified for better oiling. I am trying to source parts to complete the box rebuild and am hampered by not finding sources or Covid problems with
shipping.
The box needs the linear motion oil seal that seals the gear selector rod/tail shaft housing interface and a 5th gear detent plunger/sleeve/spring
set. The 5th gear plunger set is available at Bearingkits but they cannot currently ship other than courier, and I cannot find another source. I
have found nothing on the gear selector rod seal.
Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated. Perhaps another EU country source? Harry Fazil at Autogear was able to ship some parts but does
not have these last two. Burton is currently courier only. Anyone have either to sell? As to the oil seal, does anyone have a manufacturer part
number to source from manufacturer in lieu of supplier?
If it seems like I am grasping, I am! Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Cheers
