Hose design / configuration library
I am currently redesigning how my rads are mounted and could do with some new hoses. Both water and intercooler.
Does anybody know of a resource or way of looking for a specific hose shape / size / bends in the right place etc.
For example I have 2 intercooler hoses, so 50mm ID, one is straight one is 135deg bend.
Another is a 20mm ID water hose which has 2 X 90 Deg making a Z type shape, the bends are approx 300mm from each other.. .
Any thoughts or do I have to keep cutting and joining?
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Years ago I drew up the rough shapes I needed and my local factors allowed me into their stores where I sat on the floor with a couple of large bins
full of hoses to find suitable ones. Worth chatting to your local one?
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

When building my MK Indy (and other car projects) my local motor factors have been mega helpful:
1. One of their long serving guys has massive knowledge and if I drew/described what I needed he often knew the closest fit from a current tin top.
2. Let me "go out back" and poke around in their hoses to see if I could find what I needed.
Befriend a local motor factor with good knowledge and stock - very helpful!
Aside from that, the silicone hose people will have plenty of choice at plenty of ££££.

Thanks for the replies. Unsure if the befriending approach will work at my local motor factors.
I live in SE London and the decent local family run style places are long gone. Now I only have national mega warehouses where I get resistance by
telling them which car it is from rather then the reg because its too much work. I had trouble getting stock sierra rear brake pads a couple of months
ago. They struggled to help find what I wanted when all I needed was rear brake pads for ANY Ford Sierra . . .

Fair comment - back when I built my Sierra based MK Indy my local Ford main dealer had a friendly parts guy.
Another hose trick I used was flexi-hoses (from Ebay IIRC)...

I gave up on trying to find OE hoses that fit nicely.
I make up the pipes from 38 mm aluminum tubing (sold as TV ariel poles and curtain rods in high street DIY shops) and silicon bends as found here
Reducer elbows can be used to change diameter where required

Are you looking for specific OEM hoses or just Silicone hoses of available shapes and sizes? When I needed to create WTA IC routing I just measured up
my route and picked suitable items from:

They were cheap enough for me and had a massive selection. They even had weird combos like 135 degree reducers from 75 to 63mm in two different leg
lengths, plus metal couplers for between pieces.
