Ford Type 2 to Type 9 or Type E gearbox conversion

Hi

Any tips please for converting a book Locost from a Ford Type 2 gearbox with a MkII Escort live rear axle to Ford Type 9 or Type E (Rocket)?

I am considering a switch to a Type E (Rocket) so need to think through gearbox mounting position and mounts as well as propshaft. Which I guess is pretty much a similar proposition to a Type 9 swap.

I expect I might need a different front propshaft yoke for the different number of splines, different position and type of gearbox mounts and perhaps a different propshaft length? Is the propshaft flange for a standard MkII Escort different from a Sierra one (if not a secondhand Caterham prop might work).

Thanks
Mike

Be advised that the type 9 box has a very low ratio on first gear that isn’t really suited to such a lightweight car and 5th gear perhaps a little high? One of the best mods I made to my car was to fit a BGH high first box , perhaps should have gone for a 5 gear mod as well?
