oil pressure gauge max 7 or 10 bar

HELP!

Just ordered a oil pressure gauge for a friends crossflow locost. Ordered the 7bar one and the 10 bar one came back instead.

Should I keep the 10 bar or return it for the 7? My thinking was the engine would never see 10 bar and it would be better to have the 7 bar scale as it would be more detailed.

Thoughts?

1 bar is about 15psi

You won't get near 105psi or 150psi. It's not what you wanted so send it back. Are they automotive gauges or industrial? The scale sounds high.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

CA Telemetrix automotive gagues........

i thought they where high, checked the haynes manual for pressures when the crossflow is running hot and then decided that the smaller the scale the better.
