Gearbox mounts

What are people using for gearbox mounts. Is modifing the origional mount the only way or are there alternatives better suited for a locost chassis. In particuler ford type 2 gearboxs, but also other gearboxs.

Can univrsal rubber block(s) be used instead of manufactures own design, like is commonly done with engine mounts.

Get a Westfield one, only £10.50 inc postage, save yourself hours of headscratching

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Most Ford gearbox mounts going back as far as the Anglia 105e are pretty similar -- although the later models tend to be softer.
