crossflow fuel pump

hi,
whats the standard mechanical fuel pump like for a (slightly tuned) 1300 crossflow? or is it worth it to replace with electrical jobbie near the tank?
cheers,
zane

I believe that the general view is that it's fine for mildy tuned engines up to 1600+ with a down-draft carb.
If you're going for higher power, esp. with multiple side-draft carbs then an electric one is probably a good idea.
Also, if the pump ever packs up, then it's worth replacing it with an electric jobbie.

Should be fine.

My 1360 was running on a std mech. pump.

Only switched to Facet when I fitted the Twin 40s.
