Zetec ST170 Engine

I have asked this before but does anyone know if this has been attempted before. I plan to fit this ST170 engine into a velocity XT but don't know whether to tackle the Ford ECU route or try to find something aftermarket. The problem is the Variable Valve Timing. I am not aware of another ECU that will control this and to get the full benefit of the 175 BHP I need to get this running. I can get everything I need for about £250 which will be a cheap option but I have to overcome many things.

PATS
VSS (speed sensor)
Two Lambda sensors
Camshaft sensor
Knock
Air flow
Ignition transponder
Clutch switch
Fuel Pressure.

Some of which would be in an aftermarket setup I know. I understand some of the setup but I am not too sure about the VSS. I need to find out where this is mounted to see if I can modify it.

The Emerald ECU can control the K series VVC, so you might want to talk to Dave Walker who makes them about the posibilities of it controlling the ford VVC too.
