I,ve seen some people fitting bike carbs on zetec ( 2Lt , 1.8 , 1.6 ) engines does anybody know what sort of power you could get and with what sort of engine spec?

Thanks

Im told that power is same (ish) to twin 45's ie 165bhp for 2l 155 for the 1.8l(130 spec cams) and dont bother with the 1.6.

The bike carbs come into there own ,with the drivability ie very good response across all the rev range...still building the motor so I have not driven mine yet

The zetec benifits with a long intake system. With throttle bodies which are about the same length as Webers the best trumpets are 4-5" long. The only snag is that they end up sticking out the bonnet of a "7" by 2"-3".

Jenvey quoted that on highly tuned engines the difference between long and short intakes could be 30-40BHP!
