X-Flow problem!

Hello all,

I have a newly aquiered 711M crossflow with standard carb, kent cams, new head and pistons.

Its drive fine-but when under full load and I hit about 3500rpm there is a jolt in the power for a split second and then power is resumed!

Any ideas with what to fiddle with? I still in the learning stage with this engine/all carb engines!

Thanks in advance

as above ---rolling roaded ('cause I wanted to) the carb needing rejetting and had lots of wear. Found out that the distributor needed renewing aswell and the timing was adjusted to suit the current situation--------

Result= smoother running, with ironed out flat spots

Cheers guys! Looks like I will have to pay for some rolling road time then

Will driving it like it is at the moment damage the engine?

Sounds like you may have a weak mixture if so this could cause a melted piston . Get it sorted and car would be much nicer to drive and probably more economical/reliable
