x-flow oil pressure

Hi guys

Fitted an oil pressure gauge at weekend, oil pressure on 1.6 xflow showing 35psi.. needle sitting pretty stationary at revs.

This figure look ok to those experts out there?
cheers J

I think that's quite reasonable for a standard oil pump, especially if it isn't brand-new. I believe that a standard pump will max out at around 45psi.

Correctly set, the Excess pressure valve should open between 35 and 40 psi (standard engine), so in theory pressure should never rise above this.
