Zetec Woes (Oil Pressure)

please help!

I have had the head off of my 1.8 Zetec and it has been refurbished. (whilst it was reconditioned they fitted a replacement regulating valve for the oil flow into the head? apparently this is a ford recommended modification? anyway I have fitted the head back on and obviously used all new service parts gaskets head bolts etc.
anyway, the engine started up a treat with good oil pressure and seemed to be running ok to temperature. Then i noticed lots of vapour coming out the breather pipe and then amounts of oil! the Oil pressure dropped completely although there was now oil burnt throught the exhaust.

Please can somebody help me to understand whats wrong and what to do.. Thanks

stu

(1) Check the oil level isn't too high
(2) Check all the crankcase breathers are correctly fitted and clear,

If above are ok suspect piston or piston compression ring problem.

Did you or the engine builders put the engine back together?

Was it possible any dirt got into the bores or swarf left in the oilways?

If put back together by them, I'd take it back shouting.

i just got my head back from the machinists i had a cambelt snap on my main runabout, when i checked it over i found 3 bent valves when i sent it in to be skimmed they found 6 so i said sod it you lot do the work obvisouly im lacking in that deptment, they steam cleaned it reseated all the valves incl new ones and new seals and last week i drove back with it in me boot poped it on the engine amd she started up a treat

what im saying is that if oil had been spraying out any where i would have assumed theyed done something wrong to the head, id take it back and say sort out the problem they should at least offer to have a look at it if you brought it in
