Are escort and Orion 1.8 Zetec engines the same?

They should be as wasnt the Orion just a saloon Escort? (Assuming you are comparing cars of the same age)

yep..They have sports versions like the chia ect which where more insurance friendly than the escort variants..They are less desirable and that means
you can pic them up for bugger all

Only thing to watch is the 1.8 engines came as 3 types in the escorts and orions. 105bhp, 115 bhp and 130 bhp.
