I know Holts used to make "Instant Piston Ring" a few years ago, but they never managed to make "Instant Big End".

I like the graphics though

Sounds like Snake Oil to me.

I liked the graphics that much I thought I'd keep it for a while.

Im very sceptical of this Sounds like an engine placebo..As said if its worn its worn. The oldist trick in the book was to thicken the oil to take up the slack in the bearings ect to sell the car on..
Im told there was another trick were you could get some stuff to put down the bores which also filled the wear to increase compresion and stop it smoking this aparantly didnt last long ,but long enough to sell the car on?????

I am equally sceptical and cannot see how it can work, but I do not live too far away from their office and I know the Technology Business centre that they are based in, which is full of reputable companies.

When I went there the other day for something else, I asked about the product. The young lady on reception (she supports all the companies not just Ametech) said how they have people continually ringing them up enthusing about the product.

Maybe I am a mug (she was very nice!), but I have an old 650cc twin 4 stroke in my off-road buggie with low oil pressure so I bought a can to try it out.

I'll report back in a few months!

Yes similar stuff has been around since the 1940s at least, it forms a varish on the bores and piston. It will work for about a week downside is if any of the piston rings aren't worn it can make them stick.
