2.0 Pinto... Which Radiator

Hello People.

I've been having some real trouble with my cortina radiator and it finally gave up the ghost at the SVA test last week.

Bloody car failed again on the emissions because of the twin webbers.... doh... anyway I digress...

Can someone please recommend a radiator that would be good to use with this engine. One that can be sourced quite easily from the scrap yard?

Go for the Polo rad. You can get them new for about £40. The problem with a s/h rads is that they can end up being blocked with all the old crap from the years of being used in the donor car. As it has such an impact on how the car runs then worth spending the bit extra.

Ive used Micra rad. Tried and tested formula from Mac#1.

Ref the twin webbers - try giving Maqrk a call at Mac#1. He has told me that he has managed to set them up for almost zero emissions for SVA a few times. He might be able to help (he's on hoilday till next week tho'.

Thanks for that. I'll have a look at them. What Polo? 1.6 petrol? What year etc. It's all questions I will be asked when I request a radiator.

Vince i have a part number for the rad from serck intertruck my local one 0208 805 7999 should be able to put you onto one nearer you.

The rad is from a polo 1.0 1983/85

the part number for german swedish and french i have unfortunatly lost but i'm sure a polo rad search will bring it up.
