It Lives - many thanks lads

Last night i went out to the garage and disconnected the battery charger. My 12 year old son stood by with the fire extingusher and the bloke next door looked on in amusement....

turned the key
engine fired

She Lives

drove out of the garage all going well

ran the engine for 20 mins only minor snags to cooling system, such as an air lock that required refilling and a minor leak that required a clip to be tightened. Oh and speedo that does not work.

after 20 mins ran the car back and fowards up and down the drive. The smile on my sons face was worth every penny i have spent on the car.

im now on a natural high better that alcohol .

Many thanks for you help..

Cool!

So what was the problem in the end then?

Cheers,
James

Not sure what the problem was

i was ready for a long drawn out process for the timing, but it started first turn of the key.

the battery had been charged for 2 days, longer than before, maybe it was that?

any way i have now changed the battery and adjusted the idle speed.

its a real buzz and i have hyper motivation.

i will say, driving it up and down the drive it felt extreemly pokie 160bhp in 600- 700kg cant wait to get her on the track!!!!
