Engone Backplate
I have an XR4i engine and gearbox but I am missing the backplate which goes between them. Is this essential or is it a nice to have item.
I have found it extremely hard to get hold of one, and I would prefer not spending the day in a scrappy removing engine and flywheel to get one, but I
will bite the bullet if it is needed.
Cheers,
Ed

easily made from a thin sheet of steel or ally (although ally may crack with fatigue)

Cheers for that, should I just draw around the bellhousing and then drill out the bolt holes?

The one on the car has a split in it so you can thread it on without removing the flywheel to make the job easier.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
