Can you not programme the Alpha to limit at say 7000rpm?

I had my rev limit raised to 7100rpm. I sent my alpha ECU away to

WEBCON UK LTD
Dolphin Road
Sunbury, Middlesex
TW16 7HE

They quoted me £50 on the phone to do this. I asked what about postage back, they said " we can do it for £50 all in." I sent my ECU off and was phoned for payment as arranged to find out that it was now approx £68, Fvckers. I was well p!ssed off. They said that vat and postage had to be added to this, when I was clearly told it was all included. I had no choice but to pay as they already had my ECU. I bought a brand new weber alpha kit from them for alot of money and they fvck me over like this. Not happy. Find somebody else to do the work. w@anks

Soft cut at 6900, hard cut at 7100, by that time the power is going down in any case.

Get a Emerald next time, you can play with all the settings you want with their easy to use software.

Seconded. The Emerald is a great piece of kit, and they supply all the software to program it yourself. No nasty bills just to change the revlimits (or anything else for that matter).

Mind you, the megajolt / squirt route looks pretty attractive these days ...

I wish I had gone emerald. It was in the early inexperienced days when I bought the webber stuff. I wish I had an emerald ecu or similar.
