Gearbox identification
I have what I belive is an LT77 gear box out of an SD1 in the garage but would like to check serial number to prove origin and age , allso gear
ratio's.
The box has the following stamped on the side of it..
16J7
V3334
and aslo what I think is a british layland stamp and a large V which turns into an F folowed by a number 1.
Any ideas about sites with info would be helpfull
thanks
Paul.

have you tried googling for the information. I've just looked up LT77 and found more information about the box than i could ever want to
know.
Did you know the spacing between the shafts is 77mm in the LT77 and the LT stands for Leyland Transmission.
