Best plugs I ever fitted in my Xflow were NGK BP6EV. That was running a high energy capacitive discharge coil system on an 11:1 compression Ratio.
1660cc full race lump in Mk1 Cortina with top end at 140mph (8000RPM).
Enjoy

I saw the splitfire at Exeter and was intrigued. Has anyone used them?

ive never had a problem with the basic NGK's in any of my cars or my parents. When we lived in Botswana (where i was born BTW) my old man used them
in all our cars.
as for performance plugs.... what are the splitfire made from? platinum, iridium, copper? they all have their pros and cons.
cheers

'A' Spark will jump across the gap between the anode and the earth by the route of least resistance or shortest ionised air gap. The emphassis is
on, A Spark, and, Shortest. Splitfire plugs are really good for lazy people with a lot of spare cash, who like to do high mileage between services. But
IF (as I am sure that you all do) run your engines at the optimum fuel settings and service them with a degree of regularity then personally I would
recommend NGK plugs. For your Xflow I would probably use NGK BP6ES which is a very good plug for that engine. You could go for a more exotic plug like
the platinum hair tip of the BP6EV But you are unlikely to notice any difference. The only time that you might notice any difference would be if you
had your car/engine set up in a rolling road and they found extra perfomance by changing the plugs & completely retuning your car.
After that you pays your money & you take your pick.
Enjoy.
