vacuum on dizzy

Gents, just about to fit the dizzy to the engine(X-flow, twin40s) and was wondering what or where to fit the vacuum hose to. The dizzy is an electronic one out of the valencia engine.

As always any advice welcomed. Dan.

Can't fit a vaccuum take off to any cylinders if running twin 40's cos if you go into just 1 cylider you get such an erratic vaccuum pulse that the vaccuum unit goes tits up very quickly (gets vibrated to death & takes a matter of days) & if you tap into multiple barrels then you effectively create an air leak across the manifold and get incorrect fueling. So just fit the dizzy & forget about the vaccuum advance.

Enjoy.

Doesn't that mess up your ignition timing?

Check out Dave Andrews site for tips on how to modify distributors or bite the bullet and buy a modified one from Aldon or Vulcan. I supplied engine specs and a dizzy (Lucas type) to Aldon and they remapped it and de-vacuumed it for about £65.
