Is your oil filter on the front of the engine just above the crankshaft sensor if so when you change the oil the old oil can sometimes get in between
the sensor and the connector causeing the light to come on you need to remove th connector and clean it out with brake cleaner then put some grease on
the contacts and re-connect that will solve that fault
the other common one is the camshaft and crankshaft sensors or out of sync usuall occurs when the timing belt goes slack

digimoto software works well but there are quite few others that are good (scantool and carcode to name a couple)
Cheers

Scantool works well on anything I have tried to connect to although I occaisionally find it falls over and needs a reboot of the PC, Digimotor
dosen't work for me at all, but I have an older Elmscan OBD interface.
Because it is less hassle than my Elmscan inteface most of the time I just use a U380 code reader i bought from AlphaBid unless I really need to read
sensor outputs.
