New Cams

Guess who just won a cam kit off ebay.

I guess that the head gasket going was just too much temptation to add some more horses.

£265 for a Piper 270 kit seems like good value to me. Actually it sounds bloody expensive for a couple of cams and a set of followers but it seems cheap compared to advertised prices.

2.0 Zetec!! I upgraded this winter to fit the Zetec and opted for Throttle bodies and Megasquirt ready for a head and cam upgrade next winter.

Now that the head needs to come off to replace the gasket I thought may as well o the upgrade now.

Well done Steve. Why do i think you have fabricated the gasket problem to justify the cams?????

I bet you will get some serious complaints from your tyres after the next round of mods.

Nah!!!!

I am sourcing some rubber ones to go with the extra power. Those plastic tyres will last forever so I may as well just take the plunge and replace them.

I wish I had fabricated the problem as it's been a pain. That's why I spent all day at Teesside topping up the water!!

Still, any excuse to upgrade

Anyone want a set of cheap hard (NO, really hard!!) set of 205/50 15s when I get them off. I have done 6000 miles and two trackdays and I don't think the tread has worn at all.

Darren, how's the MegaJolt going. Have you got it working in 3D with a TPS yet??
