LT 77 Gearbox specifications
Hi Gents,
I've just spent a couple of hours trawling the 'net trying to find the specs/ratios for the LT77 gerbox range. Anybody know where I can
find this info, including info on Sherpa Van 'boxes?
Alternatively, can anyone tell me whether the LT77 'box from a Sherpa will be suitable (for use with a Rover V8) or should I try to get an
SD1/R380/T5 box?
Cheers,
Martin.

V8 boxes have longer intermeiate ratios than the the 4 and 6 cylinder cars.
Sherpas will have even lower 1st and 2nd gears.
Some of the pages on MGB and TR7 V8 conversion will have the info you need.

3.14 diff is top of the shopping list as you
wont have a first gear if you use 3.62 with 15" wheels

The sherpa box is totally crap!!!
But if you have to use it the only good ish bit is the gear stick housing as it is very short and easy to adapt.
