Duratec engine number
This may be a bit vague, but does anyone know where the engine number is on the 2.5 duratec V6? Also, once I've found it, could someone find out
where it comes from?
This all stems from looking at pics/diagrams of other engines, and I can't find one that has the same front end pulley set up as mine! All the
others have an air-con pump, and the tensioner on the forward facing bank. Mine is different, with no air-con pump, and the tensioner on the backward
facing bank. Also, my thermostat is in a different place!
Any ideas friendly people of Locost land?

Its in sort of a dot matrix affair on the pulley side of the block casting - quite high up. Not sure of its origin though.

Which pulley? Or rather if it was in the car, where would it be? It's the pulleys that are causing the confusion!

Righto, I'll go have a look in a mo, if it ever stops being so windy (engine's currently under a sheet in the garden).

What form does the engine number take, as the only one I can find in a dot matrix jobby is on the end case?
