play in type9 shaft

ive just started to clean up my type 9. i swaped my mate for the typeE lol i bought by mistake. but ive found play in the shaft you can move it with your hand.its the shaft that gos into the engine. is it a stuffed lol

no some play is normal around 10mm i belive the spigot bearing in the end of the crank is resposable for keeping the input shaft running true

I've had 3 now and they all have play.

Yep I thought i was fecked at first (Turned out one of the CV joints had failed that was causing the horrid driving on the donor).
