Is the Lima the same external size as a pinto?

Because I just got my lima home and it's massive . Granted it will look a lot smaller when the accesories are off, but still it, and the T5 box, are larger than I had remembered. The pinto must be smaller right?
Good thing is the valve cover and sump don't need modifying as they are both flat as possible already. Going to measure it up later today.

Oh ya, and to the "it's too heavy" guys, try putting 15psi of boost to your bike engine and see what happens .
Cheers.

ask dale , the lima engine is what was in the mustang /merkur IIRC

its a bit bigger , but is very strong so you should be thinking about 25-30 psi .

the only reason you should be buying one is for the T5 gearbox .

Well, the only reason Ive gone with either is because they are free and I have spares. Yes the lima came in mustangs and rangers mostly here. Wonder if someone has the rough dimensions of a pinto for me to compare to? Height, length width?

Yes, 15psi is the OE rating. Guys boost them far beyond that. No bike engine can handle the same power output the lima can. Besides, I know all about beating bikes..... it's takes power and torque and you get it with big displacement

On that note, I wonder how long a locost chassis would last with my 377ci (6.2L) in it? Probably not long considering as it tore my camaro up .
Cheers.

Ya, I will make it fit. Ive stuck bigger engines into similar sized holes before.

The volvo 2.3L cant be much smaller than the ford. Apparantly you can stuff the better flowing volvo head on the ford with some minor machining. Don't think Ill try it though
Cheers.
