fuel line

i cant seem to find 8mm copper pipe from my local B&Q-type of place... the smallest they have is 12mm..

that is obviously too big innit?

where else can i get 8mm copper pipe? it seems like it doesnt exist? 8mm is also difficult to source in steel to make the fuel tank outlet...

the 8mm is outside diameter right?

should i just get extra brake pipe when i buy it and just use that for fuel also?

cheers
Tom

Get down to a plumbers merchant (Plumb Centre etc) and pick up some 8mm micro bore central heating copper pipe.

Edit to say...
Sorry forgot you're in Spain so Plumb Centre might be difficult, but any good plumbing supplier should be able to help you.

pipe

It's called micro bore & is for central heating & is around £11.00 a roll.
Grahams heating & plumbing supplies, B&Q superstore all do it.
Good luck

Me too, it pays to look at the country first.
Sorry!!!!

Ask for "soft copper" (or try with a Spanish accent) as opposed to rigid/hard copper. The soft copper comes in rolls. To get it straight when you unroll it, unroll it along the floor.

Make friends with a plumber or central heating fitter, they have lots of of cuts and end of reels, I was given a 3M length for nothing!

On a previous project i used 5/16" Kunifer.

On the ZR i just used the braided hose right through.

I have a roll of 8mm in the garage. Pay for me a return flight from the UK to Madrid and I'll fetch it over.

went earlier today to one of those specialized stores only to get kicked out for not being a professional (i.e. not wearing a blue overall, stinking of vinegar and having a massive builder's butt even when standing straight)

so i guess i'll try something else...

another ordeal will be to explain them what a p-clip is, as i know for certain they wont have them and i will have to fabricate some myself.... where was that thread about diy p-clips?
