what a fool i am
well the fuel starvation problem was solved
one of the tasks i had performed a week ago required me to remove the boot box.
i had some how moved the fuel pipe and when the boot box went back in it bent the pipe and folded it closed. the car ran for a while on the fuel in
the pipes so i forgot about it.
well just in from the garage and the boot box is back in and the pipe fixed securely and hey presto she lives once again
realy glad i did not set fire to it yesterday
it is amazing what ideas you have when drunk at a party and not thinking about the problem. prehaps i should get drunk more oftern.

Sounds like the sort of thing i would do! Glad it sorted simply.

Some of my best work has been achieved with the careful guidance of Miss Smirnoff!!!!!!!
I have never had a problem with my car. Just some intersting challenges and opportunities to shine.
We all take car building for granted - we shouldnt. What is seemingly a daft mistake is actually the bi-product of completing a highly technical
challenge without the support of a multi-million pound multi-disciplined OEM development team.
Glad you are sorted.

That or watching the superbikes/F1/BTCC at the same time! Some of my doziest moments have been whilst listening to a good old rock album, and singing
along (Ace of Spades is good for this), only to completely forget what I was doing!

i'm just glad it runs, the retest is a week today and if i had not got it running tonight i would have had to cancel....
yes there are many many tasks to complete and things to improve, following the SVA, but the last task for SVA was a tune up for the emissions
test.
this car is going to keep me very very busy. the more i look the more i see that i can improve. the most obvious is the back of the passenger seat
that is slightly out of plumb but will have to do for now.
need to clean the car now and prehaps re trim the edge of the transmission tunnel this weekend.

I had mine SVA'd Dec05 and there is hardly a week gone by when i havent done something to it. Usually just liitle tweeks etc but its a fantastic
hobby. I often find it helps me lose the stresses of the day.
For SVA emissions the tester handed me a screwdriver and allowed me a moments tinker on the gas analyser.
