coolant hose

Afternoon

Could someone please confirm something for me.

In my local motor factors after some 8mm coolant hose. He cut some and I then read "fuel hose 8mm" on the side of it. He said it would be fine but I'm thinking coolant gets much hotter than fuel so would this be suitable?

Any assistance much appreciated as none of the motor factors I've visited sell 8mm even though it seems the standard over flow size from rad to expansion bottle.

Cheers
Nigel

Id be happy to use fuel hose. Temp wise they should all be equal, fuel being maybe better grade to cope with the fuel itself.

I've used 8mm fuel hose to go to my header tank which will get as hot as any big of the system... Not a problem so far.... Not sure it'd pass SVA but equally not sure if that's a problem for you
