Where can I buy?
Can anyone recommend a good place that I can get used Jap engines and parts?
Im after a MR2 Turbo engine and running gear for my project and Im only finding complete cars at the moment. Im thinking as the turbo is an import
that it might be better getting it from Japan and then shipping it over to the UK.

Ben,
A friend of mine has just got hold of 6 Toyota 4age 20 valve engines,complete with throttle bodies,etc. There are 6 speed fwd gearboxes as well. IIRC
they are good for 150bhp as standard. Priced @ a grand.
I think that we'll be seeing articles in the kit car press before long extolling the virtues of the 20 valve. Could be down to the fact that the
16v's are getting harder to source in Japan.
