cam wheels should be taper fit.remove cam cover, need a steel strip to fit into slots in rear of cams, tiny mark on crank pulley/cover unless its like the baby zetec where its a floating crank pulley as well, line everything up bfore removing crank pulley if thats the case, use tipex to mark things

Cheers conrod.

Daft bloody idea though, what's wrong with arrows on the pulley wheels like most
manufacturers ?

Tippex in always in abundance here when cam belts are involved
I mark the belt and pulleys then copy the marks to the new belt.

Ford specifying 50 ft/lb torque through a t55 torx with less than 3mm register is even dafter, I've replaced with hex head bolts, now I can control torque and control movement of cam & pulley without worrying the bloody screw is about to sheer.

Don't know if it's applicable in this case, but I did read of someone saying that when they do a cam belt they start by cutting the old belt lengthways with a stanley knife (while still on the engine), pull the outer half of the belt off, slip the new belt onto the exposed part of the pulleys, cut off the remaining section of the old belt then push the new belt fully on to the pulleys. Retension belt, job done
