fireblade carbs on zetec engine

hey guys, got my inlet manifold from bogg brothers and got to say.... its a work of art!

Just looking into pumps now and wondering what anyone could suggest? from what i hear its better to get an external motorbike pump as then you dont have to worry about having a pump and then seperate fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks guys,

Nath

I have ZX9 carbs on my zetec and simply used the pump that came with the bike.

The pump is under the tank at the back pushing the fuel up to the carbs.

Most CARB bike pumps will do, 9R, R1, ZZR1100, which blade are your carbs off? I had a 97 RRV blade and that didn't have a pump, the later 928's did. Make sure you dont get an injection pump, much too much pressure.

err pass!!?! but thats what the guy from the bike shop said aswell, the older version didnt have a pump just natural pressure from carbs. Either would still need pumping in a car application though?

Pumped or not on the bike, as I said any bike pump from over 750cc ish will do the job for you, just don't go for an uprated, high pressure or injection pump, there are only little floats in shallow bowls and needle valves stopping the flow.
