DOHC EFi engine code
Hi All,
I've got a really quick and dumb question to ask...
I have a 2L DOHC EFi engine which I believe came out of a "J" reg sierra - but I have no documentation to prove it.
Does anyone know where the 7-digit engine code is stamped? - I don't want to have no proof of age when the SVA comes up!
Any help much appreciated...
Mike

i used the burtons catalogue to prove the age of my engine.
i have a pinto, and i'm not sure if the dohc engine is listed in there.
failing that write to ford technical services with the numbers you have they should be able to help.

Stood looking at the front of the engine, it's on the front, top left face of the block, stamped into the machined face. Difficult to see, my
sva inspector wanted to check the number at my test

Thanks for the advice, I didn't realise the stamping would be that small!
That part of my engine has decades of crud all over it so time get the elbow grease out!
