According to recent articles in Kit car press, the engine to use IS the VVC, but with the VVC bit disabled as it has much larger valves. The standard 1.8 casting cannot be machined to the same spec.
My mate has a new MG TF VVC. It has 160bhp as standard, if that aint enough for any Locost, I don't know what is!!
PS don't like the TF, too plasticky, suspension harder than Locost!!
