MT75 reverse switch removal

Thinking of removing the big num plastic reverse switch on the side of our MT75 gearbox as it is not needed. Going to make a nice alloy blanking plate to seal the hole the same shape as the switch.

Can any body see any problems in doing this?

Does the MT75 have a breather hole anywere?

Cheers, Phill
